Totally agree, mate. I gave lost interest in boxing about 10 years ago, right about the time I got into the UFC. But that sport has been "McGregored" to fuck - everyone's a loud mouth looking for the big fights, and fair play to them, but it's boring to watch. Except McGregror. After seeing arseholes call themselves a badman and throw tables I thought I was fine with boxing forever. But fair play to these two. Let your skills speak for themselves, be gentlemen, then knock seven bells out of each other. Just shows that people will still watch. The rematch will kill at the box office and good luck to both of them!

Went Holyfield v Lewis at madison square gardens when Lewis battered him, scored it a draw and I will not go again.

Glad Joshua won as he seems decent and my mate (Whu) is in his corner.

Heavyweight boxings best period since the Tyson era right now?

AJ v Fury would be a massive British event
Doubt the build up will be as classy as this on was though

Re: Anthony Joshua vs Wladimir Klitschko - Sat April 29 10pm
Delighted that AJ knocked him out.

Otherwise it would have lead to an extremely dodgy judge's decision seeing Joshua was up on 2 out of the 3 scorecards. Hearn will give boxing a bad name in the UK if he continues to choose judges who give dodgy home town decisions on his promoted fights.

Spot on.
Just a shame the 'earns didn't get a clump as well.

Wilder now looks a dangerous option for AJ.

AJ v Fury - who wins? Fury will have watched that and seen a way to win. But anyone who gets hurt by Steve Cunningham isn't standing up to what Vlad did.

Probably the best heavyweight title fight since Lewis/Vitali Klitschko. Ironically Lewis hit Vitali with an even better upper cut in that fight.

Quality fight

Both men did themselves proud.

AJ can only learn from this.

I know a few on here like Jr but for me he's just like the old man. I agree, they should stay in the background but at least he doesn't stand there grinning and waving miniature flags like that utter cunt Don King :.)

Yeah saw Barry's cheesy grin in the background. I know Hearn is the promoter but everyone knows it. Just wish he would just take a back seat rather than push his ugly mug in front of the cameras all the time. Great to hear the crowd booing him though, that shut him up.

Hearn was always going to be there, he's his promoter. good to see him get stick though, was his club killing old man there too? I didn't notice him

Bellew's a bad choice as a pundit, I much prefer Glen Mcrory or Malignagi who was working for Showtime

Re: Anthony Joshua vs Wladimir Klitschko - Sat April 29 10pm
Great fight but very bizarre as well. Very strange seeing Joshua throw bombs in round 5 then be blowing out of his arse 30 seconds later!! Lucky really that Klitscho stood off rather than try and finish it.

Credit to both for the fight and the respect rather than all this trash talk bollocks but AJ needs to work on his stamina and still not sure about his chin. Reminded me a bit of when Mike Tyson went past four rounds and looked lost without a plan B. Having said that he will learn a lot from that fight.

Annoying to see Tony Bellend jumping into the ring and as for the Hearn's, Jesus wept. I can't stand the FA but you don't see the FA Chairman wanting to hug the FA Cup Winners and grab a quick interview! I wish they would just stay out of the bloody ring.

And not sure which bright spark at Sky decided to try and conduct interviews outside at Wembley with 90000 fans singing and music blaring, couldn't hear a thing, although probably just as well with the pundits on show!!

That was one of the best fights I've ever seen. Huge respect to both fighters but especially Joshua.

Probably the best heavyweight title fight since the 70's.

I absolutely loved the build up to this fight, two gentlemen who respected each other especially Joshua who grew up watching Klitchco, no phoney bullshit .
I have not seen the fight and know I have missed something quite special Congrats to Joshua and respect to Klitshco. The biggest winner tonight is boxing .

Must be close to the best uppercut ever thrown. Won that fight and probably retired Wlad.

Re: Anthony Joshua vs Wladimir Klitschko - Sat April 29 10pm
Wierdly the way the fight went might be the best thing for Klitschko's career going forward. I can see AJ knocking the pikey over then having a rematch considering how close it was. I'm sure they'd both love another 90000 paying punters at Wembley again hoping for more of the same.

I've got a newfound respect for Klitschko after being bored rigid by him for years and years. It takes TWO great fighters to make a truly great (and entertaining) fight.

Klitch obviously still has a fight in him and Joshua learnt more in that fight than in all his others put together. I certainly wouldn't begrudge Klitschko one last big pay day away from his cosy bubble in Germany.
